“When looking for a new printer, customers want a reliable device that can quickly and easily deliver high-quality results, whether they are using it in their own home or place of work. “Canon is proud to unveil the latest upgrades to our celebrated imageCLASS lineup,” says Toyotsugu Kuwamura, executive vice president and general manager, Business Imaging Solutions Group, Canon U.S.A., Inc. The four new imageCLASS models will be available at retail stores and via online retailers, making them easily available to learn more, touch, try and purchase. Furthermore, all four models offer new higher-yield consumables and a new standard limited three-year warranty backed by Canon’s one hundred percent U.S.-based service and support network, providing businesses with both the tools to be successful and increased peace of mind for when its needed the most. Designed to provide a level of performance and support to small businesses and home offices that is on closer par with equipment sold to larger offices, but in a smaller form factor, the new color imageCLASS MF733Cdw/MF731Cdw/MF634Cdw/MF632Cdw printers offer intuitive use, enhanced performance and a more vivid, vibrant image quality compared with predecessor versions. If your volume is higher, more expensive printers from both manufacturers have MUCH cheaper running costs to stick with OEM toner so you might want to look into those.Offering a “Different Class of Printers” to help meet customer demands, Canon U.S.A. has announced the addition of four new models that refresh and replace its color imageCLASS models. My old Brother was on year 6 of its refill with no signs of running low, for example. My toner usage is so low, I just buy the manufacturer ones because one set of carts lasts multiple years for me and the cost per year is low enough to not want the hassle of figuring out which third party toners are GOOD. So those are considerations you might have.
And HP is waging a war against third party ink. Brother consumables are a little cheaper.

No experience with the Brother software, since my old Brother printer was monochrome print-only and I used a default Windows driver. You can just as easily set up a file share on your computer if you need to, and that would be a better solution I think.

The software to control the scanner from your computer looks clunky though, so I've avoided messing with it. Currently it does duplex monochrome pages and whips out 20+ between when I get off the couch and get to the printer upstairs.

Airprint works great from my ipad as well, though there was some initial fiddling involved that I don't recall the full details of. That and the interface on the printer are MILES ahead of the Brother interface. Once I got it set up, I just drop a document on it, tap the icon, and the file shows up on my NAS. It is also quite a bit bigger, but is overall still less desk space than a scanner + printer would be, which is the reason I upgraded in the first place. Not that the old one was bad, but this is a little sharper and quite a bit faster. It is better than the decade old Brother I replaced it with, to no surprise. Print quality has been more than adequate for my needs. I've scanned probably close to 500 pages since I got it though, mixed ADF and scanner glass, and I'm happy with the purchase. There is an occasional slightly crooked page, and if the paper is thin, the scanner doesn't automatically get rid of the blanks for you. Feeds well, and scanning to the network is very fast. Functionality seems unaffected, so I haven't yet dealt with calling support about it.
Mine has developed a little squeak sometimes when scanning that is annoying, but the only jams have been when I missed a staple in a stack of papers.
